In April 2005, we decided to travel around the world. For one whole year, we researched our destinations, we saved our money and spoiled the dog rotten with affection and table scraps. On May 1, 2006 we boarded our first of many flights and returned to Calgary on April 26, 2007. This year went by very fast.

Our objective, in creating this section of the blog, was to record some of the practical elements of long-term travel and, possibly, offer some advice and inspiration for anyone looking to do a similar trip. Anyone stumbling upon this blog looking for travel advice is more than welcome to contact us with questions as we love to talk about our trip.
