Before we started, we set out to roughly plan an itinerary based on the seasons and a desire to avoid any extreme weather and anything approaching winter. We had a list of places we wanted to visit and had to pare that down to the point where we lost Africa and the South Pacific. There was only so much we could see in 361 days.
